I had a confortable and a easy-to-use bike. Also a map and tips for my bike tour. Everything was easy and I was able to fully enjoy !

Routes and scenery are stunning-Seamus and Nora are always happy to help. If bringing your own bike , best to have a good set of gravel tyres.

I enjoyed the trip very much. The bikes were great and came well equipped with a waterproof saddle bag, handlebar bag and phone holder. The GPS app worked well but uses a lot of phone battery. It’s advisable to bring a power bank along. I appreciated that the routes were mostly following small roads.
The accommodations were comfortable and clean, run by friendly people and offered great breakfasts.

The gps stole all the battery from the phone.
The bus from ardara does not leave in Saturday, so we had to take a taxi to Donegal. 50 €

We had a wonderful trip (our third with Ireland by bike)! Great itinerary, lovely routes and warm hospitality at all of our accommodations. Our vote for best sticky toffee pudding, (we tried it everywhere):

Despite the “Irish Sunshine”, we had a marvelous time. Great routing, nice accommodations with friendly hosts, and solid gear. Great support and transfers.

We had a fantastic trip! Every detail was planned so that we would not concern ourselves with details. We were able to follow the routes and enjoy the sights. The accommodations in each stop were very pleasant and the hosts focused on making our stay enjoyable.

Excellent customer service. We asked for assistance to pick us up at the cruise port at the last minute, and Seamus coordinated a taxi for us immediately. It was more expensive than if we would have booked it directly with the taxi, but having never been there before, we wanted the assurance of a reliable ride.
The guys at the shop were very patient and informative on how to ride the e-bikes, and gave us suggestions. Ride to Slieve League cliffs was so much fun. Put the bike in Turbo mode and just pedal up hill … not too difficult and the scenery was amazing. On the ride back down, we stopped at The Rusty Mackeral for a beer and lunch. Great historic pub. We missed the rain while in the pub.
This was the best day of our 11 day cruise around Ireland. I would definitely recommend Ireland by Bike for any adventurous traveler.

We had an amazing experience with Ireland by Bike. The routes were spectacular, the bikes were new and well-maintained, the hotels and B&B’s were clean and the staff super-friendly and accommodating. And Séamus and Nóra couldn’t have been nicer. If you are thinking about booking a trip with Ireland by Bike, do it! And definitely consider the Donegal Coastal Treasures tour. It was a vacation our family will never forget.

We had the best time on our 5 night Highlights of Donegal cycling trip! The tour goes through absolutely beautiful and varied scenery. Every day was different. The tour was seamlessly organised and we found the GPS app with all the routes really easy to use and follow. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary during the tour and we really appreciated the thoughtful personal touches and extra attention received throughout our trip. Seamus and Nora are truly kind and attentive tour hosts. I was a bit nervous before booking as I’ve never done a multi-day tour before, but now I’m just worried about how any other tours I do in the future with other companies will measure up to such a fantastic trip! The company is run by just Seamus and Nora and that really meant a lot, as everything felt very personal and not corporate or like they just wanted my money, they both genuinely wanted me to have a good time. Donegal County was very safe, picturesque, and rural in the best way. As a solo young woman, I never once felt unsafe or worried during my journey. I am used to unsafe drivers in the United States but even on busy roads drivers always gave me plenty of room when they passed me and gave a friendly wave. The bed and breakfasts were very quiet and comfortable, with breakfasts included. I would recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in cycling and adventure.

This was a great experience. Even when it rained (usually lightly) we were still able to bicycle and enjoy the beautiful scenery and the marvelous people of Ireland. The bicycles and equipment are top notch and Seamus and Nora gave very good advice about the region. The accommodations were all good from hotels to B and B’s. The GPS system for guidance worked well but I would take a charger with you if you are using your phone in case you need to stop to recharge. My husband did change out his bicycle for an e-bike the second day and luckily, we were right at their shop! It is a hilly ride so be aware. The people we met were so kind and interesting, I do not think that we would have had this positive an experience if we were on a tour in a bus. Definitely recommend this experience!

This is the first time that I hired an e bike and we had an amazing day from start to finish. Very friendly owner who explained everything so well. The views were breathtaking and would thoroughly recommend this to anyone

What a fun way to explore this part of Donegal! The e-bikes were excellent – and appreciated on a few of the steeper hills! The route was easy to follow and kept to the quieter roads. We did the valley loop and the views were stunning. Found a great bakery in Ardara for lunch before heading back. Highly recommend!

Our bicycle trip with Ireland by Bike could not have been better! The routes were perfect (avoiding busy roads as much as possible) and the scenery was magnificent. Seamus was a dream. We wanted a few adjustments made to our bikes on the second day and he made it work seamlessly. Because of the weather, I wanted to cut the last day short. I called Seamus and we arranged a pick-up that made the day perfect for me riding in comfort in the van for the last miles and perfect for my husband, finishing the rest of the route. The accommodations were wonderful and all the hosts catered to our every wish. We could not imagine a better bicycling adventure!

This was an amazing trip. The Irish countryside is so beautiful, it is impossible to capture in pictures. Seeing it by bike really allows you to appreciate every moment. Seamus and Nora were super helpful and everything ran so smoothly.

Ireland by bike was excellent. The cycle route was on small roads with scenic views and historical points of interest. Accommodations were great. Seamus and Nora were well organized, friendly, and attentive to ensuring we had a good experience. Kerry and Laura

We had a great trip! The scenery was spectacular, the B&Bs very cosy, and Seamus went out of his way to accommodate us. (We didn’t know how we would get from Glenties (the end of our tour) to Donegal to catch our bus to Dublin, and Seamus gave us a ride!)

Other than the weather all else was wonderful: beautiful places, good service at the accomodation with earlier check-in when we were soaking wet, scenic roads and landscapes. Only small distances to ride on more busy roads. As drivers are super friendly, this was not a major problem. The bikes are in perfect condition and very good to ride. I fully recommend Seamus and his professional service!!

We cannot say enough about this amazing holiday! We loved the area, the people, the scenery, the food and we lucked into some magnificent dry, sunny weather. Sémus and Nora were wonderful to work with: quick to respond, friendly, and extremely helpful. They have put a lot of thought into the tours they have created, the B&B’s, suggestions of where to eat and the highlights to see along the way. The bikes worked great and easy to use (book the e-bikes, it makes your day so much less stressful)! We had been looking forward to this trip for a very long time and it did not disappoint. An April booking was special as it was low season and that provided us with little traffic on the roads, no waiting for reservations in towns for dinner, a variety of beautiful bird-song, and a welcomed plethora of baby lambs to view every day! A magical experience we will remember for a life-time! Thank you Nora and Seamus!

Our e-bike trip in Donegal last spring exceeded all our expectations.
We were on the one week circular Donegal tour at the end of April, and though we had some rainy weather, we never felt cold.
The scenery was absolutely stunning and it was hard for us to go even a mile without hopping off the bikes to take photos.
The electric bikes helped us to climb all the hills and we were offered gel covers to go over the saddles which made them super comfy.
Seamus was super attentive to all our needs. He was very friendly and easy to reach and we even met him one evening at the pub.
Of course all the pubs were amazing too, and we felt well deserved of all the great pub food and drinks after being on the bikes all day.
We also traveled without a cell phone which was still no problem.
The Bed and breakfasts were full of very friendly people, and while on the bikes we met so many other local folks including sheep farmers, musicians, and even an Irish Shaman who we’re staying in touch with.
We definitely recommend this well planned tour for anyone and everyone with a sense of adventure!
